Annual Workshop on "Earth observation applications and services in the Eastern Mediterranean, Middle East, and North Africa (EMMENA)": Earth observation business opportunities
The Excelsior H2020 Teaming project and the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence & Cyprus University of Technology organize a dedicated workshop on exploring opportunities and synergies in the EMMENA region on earth observation e.g. Algeria, Bahrain, Cyprus, Greece, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen.
- Unique infrastructures in Cyprus e.g. DAS, GBS
- Opportunities for data acquisition from the DAS (satellite station) that will be established in Cyprus on October 2025.
- Dedicated EO applications in different areas such as: agriculture, civil protection, hazards etc.
- The development of new Earth observation-based information services
- Maritime Security, Surveillance and Awareness in Cyprus
